Types of Substitute Securities and Their Prices

The substitute price when using securities for collateral is based on the types of securities listed below, multiplied by the respective margin rates applied to the previous day's market value.

Government Bonds 95% or less
Government Guaranteed Bonds 90% or less
Municipal Bonds and Corporate Bonds 85% or less
Financial Bonds 85% or less
Corporate Bonds with Attached New Share Subscription Rights 80% or less
Listed Stocks 80% or less
Public Bond Investment Trusts 85% or less
Additional Type Equity Investment Trusts 80% or less
Unit Type Equity Investment Trusts 80% or less (after the closed period)
Listed Investment Trusts and Listed Investment Securities 80% or less (ETFs, REITs, etc.)

Please note that the margin rates and the margins on substitute securities may be changed by the financial instruments exchange due to market trends, or may be changed at our discretion.
Furthermore, events leading to changes or exclusions of margins on substitute securities (hereinafter referred to as "margin changes, etc.") are as follows. When a margin change, etc. occurs, we will notify you in advance of the content, and the effective date of the new margin (or exclusion) will be four business days from the date of notification. However, in the following events, if we deem it necessary, it may be applicable from the business day following the date of notification.
If certain events are recognized as having a significant impact on management, leading to expectations of continuous and significant stock price declines, and if we determine that the market value does not reflect the true level of stock prices, making appropriate valuation as collateral impossible. Some examples of such significant events include:

  • If serious suspicions of accounting fraud arise and the recent stock price levels are judged to have been formed based on the fraudulent financial statements
  • If a massive loss occurs in business dealings that significantly impacts management
  • If all operations are halted for a long period due to an unexpected accident
  • If all operations are halted due to administrative sanctions based on laws and regulations, or allegations of violations of laws and regulations by administrative authorities
  • If events that could potentially lead to delisting occur
